The EOSC Beyond consortium gathers in Athens for its project meeting and technical workshop, hosted by GRNET. As the project approaches the end of its second year and prepares for its crucial final phase, this four-day event brings together partners to review progress, align on technical developments, and plan for the road ahead.
With the EOSC Federation taking shape across Europe, the meeting focuses on ensuring that the wider community becomes familiar with EOSC Beyond’s results and engages with the project for adoption and exploitation opportunities.
Project Meeting (24–25 February)
The first day and a half are dedicated to the formal project meeting, where partners review the overall status, financial reporting, and key project results.
Discussions cover the project’s contribution to the evolving EOSC Federation, the technical architecture of EOSC Core services, and the progress of dissemination, exploitation, and sustainability activities. Partners also address the status of Key Exploitable Results (KERs) and the pathways for ensuring long-term impact beyond the project’s lifetime.
The General Assembly provides an opportunity for strategic alignment across work packages as the project moves into its final year.
Technical Workshop (25–27 February)
The technical workshop brings together developers, architects, and Pilot Node representatives to tackle the practical challenges of building a federated EOSC, following a structured three-day format.
- Day 1: Pilots in Focus – Pilot Nodes present their user stories and use cases, highlighting core services and integration opportunities with the Innovation Sandbox and other nodes. Technical experts are paired with pilots to refine implementation plans and define a common approach to testing and validation.
- Day 2: Collaborative Integration Sessions – Structured discussions to address cross-node service integration, with dedicated sessions on Federated Access, Node Registry, Execution Framework, and Integration Suite. Tailored bilateral exchanges to enable deeper alignment on technical and operational priorities.
- Day 3: Roadmapping & Review – Advance the technical milestones and implementation roadmaps. Map out the next action points for the sustainability of the Innovation Sandbox and Core Services. Prepard for upcoming project reviews and demonstrations.
